Description

I have designed the Men’s Lightweight Alpine Jacket as a three layer Application to endure the demands of Mountaineers, ski Mountaineers and Serious Outdoor enthusiasts, Garments made with 3 layer Porelle Dry are engineered for rough terrain while protecting against the extreme changing and unpredictable conditions presented to mountain Athletes. Many Athletes prefer this type of Technology as it maintains a dry feel when working hard in the most testing conditions, I have worked very hard in testing garments and fabric to find a membrane which meets and copes with what myself and athletes expect.

Best jacket I’ve ever had. I think the membrane could be revolutionary.

Product: Men’s Lightweight, Waterproof Alpine Jacket
    Posted By: Ben Freeman

I’ve owned numerous jackets from all the big names and with just about all the main membrane-types (Gore, eVent, etc.).

From the half-dozen or so days I’ve spent walking in my Dannah jacket, I can comfortably say that it’s way more breathable than anything else I’ve ever worn, and I normally sweat quite a lot. I haven’t even needed to open the pit zips yet, even when pushing a fast pace and wearing a heavy flannel shirt underneath.

The recent weather in Britain has been fairly nasty, and the Dannah jacket has stood up to it all easily, even driving horizontal rain.

The hood is perfect, and from what I can see, the attention to detail is superb. And the price point is very competitive.

I should also mention that I asked the company a lot of questions before I bought, and was really impressed with the personal response I received.

I’m very happy with my purchase! Two thumbs up!

This is a great jacket. I bought it after reading several reviews and moving away from the comfort zone of main stream manufacturers. The fit is brilliant, obviously depends on your size but the arm length is perfect and will easily take a warmer, bulkier layer underneath. Pockets a very useful and that you can put your hands in, rather than just store stuff in them is a nice touch. The fastenings for the hood with just two goggles at the back of the head are very intuitive and work so well I don’t know everyone doesn’t use them. The fabric is a bit crinkly but has stood up well to several long wet days on the hills.
I really can’t fault it. The fact that it is UK born and bred is the icing on the cake.

I bought this jacket as a present for 1 of our employees. He chose it and he tells me he is very happy with it.

Bought this jacket as I was looking for a durable waterproof that I could wear for trekking/scrambling as well as those days when you get caught out at the crag. I bought the size up so I could get a warm jacket underneath if needed and the fit is perfect for this without being too baggy. Lots of room in the arms allowing reach and the pits zips are perfect for dumping heat. The porelle material is brilliant and has the environmental credentials too. The jacket stacks up really well against the obvious competitors in this field and overall I’m really happy with the purchase!

We have just spent 2 weeks walking in the highlands of Scotland in some of the most unpleasant weather we have encountered there.
These jackets were bought to replace leaking Haglofs jackets and have performed admirably – comfortable, easy to wear light, windproof and…. oh yes! completely waterproof.
    Thoroughly reccomended.

Great jacket. Plenty of useful pockets, lightweight & easy to pack. I bought it as a replacement for my old Arc’teryx and this is just as good.

    A Great Buy.
Went straight from the package to a 53km road and mountain night hike mid-January in Ireland (there’s confidence for you).
First thing noticed was the fit – spot on and very comfortable even with a few layers underneath.
Rain was heavy and horizontal into my face due to high winds. But the jacket performed admirably. Didn’t leak a drop and pit zips allowed me to cool on the faster road route and then to zip up to keep warm on slower mountain sections. Hood adjustment is excellent – quick and stayed in place despite the wind. I also did a lot of scrambling over rough ground and, again, comfort and dryness ensued.
    A really excellent jacket!
