Alpine Jacket
Best jacket I've ever had. I think the membrane could be revolutionary. Product: Men's Lightweight, Waterproof Alpine Jacket Posted By: Ben Freeman I've owned numerous jackets from all the big names and with just about all the main membrane-types (Gore, eVent, etc.). From the half-dozen or so days I've spent walking in my Dannah jacket, I can comfortably say that it's way more breathable than anything else I've ever worn, and I normally sweat quite a lot. I haven't even needed to open the pit zips yet, even when pushing a fast pace and wearing a heavy flannel shirt underneath. The recent weather in Britain has been fairly nasty, and the Dannah jacket has stood up to it all easily, even driving horizontal rain. The hood is perfect, and from what I can see, the attention to detail is superb. And the price point is very competitive. I should also mention that I asked the company a lot of questions before I bought, and was really impressed with the personal response I received. I'm very happy with my purchase! Two thumbs up!
We have just spent 2 weeks walking in the highlands of Scotland in some of the most unpleasant weather we have encountered there. These jackets were bought to replace leaking Haglofs jackets and have performed admirably - comfortable, easy to wear light, windproof and.... oh yes! completely waterproof. Thoroughly reccomended.
Bought this jacket as I was looking for a durable waterproof that I could wear for trekking/scrambling as well as those days when you get caught out at the crag. I bought the size up so I could get a warm jacket underneath if needed and the fit is perfect for this without being too baggy. Lots of room in the arms allowing reach and the pits zips are perfect for dumping heat. The porelle material is brilliant and has the environmental credentials too. The jacket stacks up really well against the obvious competitors in this field and overall I'm really happy with the purchase!
Had these for a couple of years now. They've performed brilliantly in very wet and testing conditions in Wales and in Scotland. Very happy with them.
Following from a "Polartec" is the best all-round technical fleece recommendation, I took the plunge and bought a couple of these & have been nothing but impressed. Used for mtb-ing/walking, I'm not finding I need the multiple michelin man thick layers, I'd usually use just to stay warm. Between this and thin Rab under layer and my normal waterproof, I've been really warm in stupidly cold conditions. The top wicks the moisture away really well, and don't have the movement restrictions I normally experience due with well insulated (thick) clothing. I'd found a review online suggesting they might be a little short in the body, a concern for cycling as tops usually ride up leaving your lower back exposed, but I'm not found this to be the case, though it maybe slight shorter than a specific cycling tops. As mentioned by Colin review, it s athletic fit but not tight. Thoroughly recommended!

I've been using these Dannah base layers for a number of years, they're great, you can't wear them out. However, if you don't protect them from moths, they can be nibbled.
That is the reason, I'm replacing.

Amazing quality pants, lots of features-zips, pockets. Useful elastic drawstring at base of legs which allows you to alter the length of pants. I went for a larger size ( size large) to make sure had enough leg movement mobility and they are a perfect fit. Cannot fault the pants. The medium and small sizes are made for slighter frames.

Jacket is a great fit, well designed with longer back length useful for very wet conditions. Lightweight and comfortable has good zipped vents under arms for extra breathability and to prevent getting too hot. Very waterproof.
Fantastic jacket. Give 5 stars

Great jacket. Lightweight, water proof and stylish. My husband totally loves it.

My daughter is doing her silver Duke of Edinburgh award and needed some good clothing to layer. Thank goodness for this jumper as she has sensory issues and really struggles with seams, labels etc. This is a resounding success and in her words "it's really comfy". High praise indeed!

Excellent love it waiting for more colours to come out & also of the mud Layers

Fantastic clothing very comfortable.

Excellent during early morning, evening and overnight, worn in a cool dry January Coastal race round Cornwall, with a technical baselayer, kept me perfectly warm and worked superbly as described in that i didn’t get too hot or too cold, really impressed!!

This review body has a comma in it, so it is wrapped in quotes to avoid messing up the CSV.

What a great jacket with super friendly and helpful service. I’ve had a couple of walks in it over Dartmoor with sideways rain and for the first time ever returned home dry!!! This week I’ve been walking in the Cairngorms, today through the Lairig Ghru, minus 15 wind chill, snow and everything else! The coat did as it says on the tin, breathable , kept me warm, comfortable, can’t recommend it enough, thanks all keep up the great work
